Mount CapeThe Swiss-based cryptocurrency exchange has announced new support for Bitcoin’s Lightning Network in its app.
A press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine describes how “users can easily receive bitcoins on the Lightning Network, make card or bank transfers, spend, receive and manage their bitcoins through Mt Pelerin’s mobile app Bridge Wallet and cash out funds from Lightning Back On.” Their bank accounts in 14 currencies.
The app and exchange serve 171 countries and six languages worldwide. Swiss regulation allows users to buy and sell bitcoins without the required identification for amounts below CHF1,000 per day. It protects privacy in the face of increasing threats associated with compromised personal information.
“Mount Pelerin plans to allow advanced users to run their own Lightning Node on Bridge Wallet in the near future,” the release states. “Meanwhile, the current release takes care of the user of all the complex channel and liquidity management features of Lightning. It allows for a very easy user experience and completely free transactions. Those who already run their own Lightning nodes and wallets can definitely use the service to buy and sell shots on it. can
Also mentioned is the exploration of payment solutions for merchants, which could greatly enhance the merchant-end of the Lightning network.
