Romanian dairy producer Artesana from Galati County will open its second factory at the end of January after an investment of around 6 million euros.

The new production capacity will help the company increase its output tenfold, according to Artesana co-founder Elina Donici.

“We will be able to produce ten times more: 100 tons per day, from 10-12 tons now. We hope that efficiency will improve, I think this project will help us a lot,” she said. Finance magazine.

Donici estimates that sales in the local market could double, and so the company targets foreign markets. The dairy producer has already entered the markets of Great Britain and Belgium through a distributor.

“We haven’t discussed at the retail level yet, we want to start a new factory engine so that we can produce in large quantities,” said the co-founder.

The dairy producer also plans to launch various products for the HoReCa sector, which represents less than 10% of total current sales. About 90% of Artesana’s sales come from retail.

For the construction of the second factory, the entrepreneurs received help from the state but also took loans from the bank.
